In our Imagination Lab, children work collaboratively and CREATE their own media in the…

DIY Studio

DIY (Do It Yourself) Studio contains three fun-filled activity tables to create craft activities and make-and-take projects. Rachelle Doorley, founder for the TinkerLab blog has developed a 12-month curriculum which will be facilitated by staff. There will also be a monthly featured DIY Studio Artist who will facilitate two weekly workshops (2nd and 4th Saturdays).
Movie Studio
This space encourages visitors to write scripts, perform, and film their own movie – using two cameras, teleprompters, a green screen stage and plenty of imagination. Youth and families produce short films, newscasts, commercials, and take their media home. The Movie Studio has two complimentary experiences. On one side of the exhibit, visitors can write a script (or use an existing script) and practice reading it right at their computer. Inside the filming booth, they can perform their original script in our large, studio like green screen stage!  Creations from the Movie Studio can be taken home via DVD.
